I had such a wonderful stay here last summer during my fellowship at the VMHC! I'm seriously considering booking this place again for my research this summer because I really enjoyed my time here. I traveled with my dog, and they were super accommodating, giving us a lovely room on a higher floor instead of the 6th floor, which I've heard is reserved for pups. The staff was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond, even offering my dog some treats! It made the experience even more enjoyable. As a graduate student, I also appreciated that the rates were reasonable, and the area felt safe and welcoming. I can't wait to come back!

I visit Richmond often for work and need to stay for more than a day when I do and I usually stay at the Marriott in Downtown or stay at the Marriott in Short Pump. This time I decided to give this Delta a try. Customer service from all the staff I encountered was great! Very professional and friendly. Checking in was spot-on, the lady checking me in was helpful and courteous and explained the Pantry (their version of the lounge). She also put me in a huge room, as an upgrade. The property’s common areas were nice, clean, and well-maintained. The room seemed decent, but is in need of being updated. It appears to be partially updated, but it’s rather oddly configured and there was some appointments that were definitely dated or needing replacement, due to stains/overuse. The shower basin was one of them, it had nasty big black stains all over it. The counter in the sink area of the bathroom was not very useable, even though it was long, as it was too narrow to sit my toiletry bag on. There was an oddly placed mini fridge in the middle of the floor in the living room area of the room, which should probably have been inside a cabinet. There was a kitchenette style cabinet/counter system, where they should put a fridge, but instead they had lots of drawers and cabinets which were all empty – so why would this be in a hotel room? The positive of the room was the TV working great and the HVAC working nicely and not being too loud. The Pantry was pretty nice. I stopped in it twice, once for late afternoon snacks and it was fully stocked with a nice selection of snacks and drinks. Then again very early the next morning for coffee and I noticed they put out bagels (which were individually wrapped), butter, a toaster, and items that were nice breakfast snacks to enjoy with coffee. It was decent. Though, I’m not a fan of these coffee machines with the touchscreens… they don’t consistently make a decent cup of coffee. Overall, it was a decent stay. But coming back, I think I’ll stay at the main Marriott instead.

We had a large group staying at the Delta Richmond Marriott for a conference this Nov. The costumer service was exceptional! All colleagues and students that I traveled with said the same thing. The rooms were clean and up to Marriott standards. It's not the fanciest hotel ever, but it was perfect for our needs. Only one critique- the fire alarm went off twice during our 7-night stay. This interrupted sleep and work day flow as we had to evacuate the building each time. We would much rather be safe and evacuate the building but if there is any way to mitigate the amount of incidents in the future, I'm sure guests would really appreciate it. Other than that it was a wonderful stay! Special thanks to Amora Mikell and Rob Johnson in Sales who made this stay possible!

If you desire a safe, clean and friendly environment for yourself and family, then I highly recommend this hotel. I traveled alone and needed to feel safe. This hotel was pricey but well worth the money. The front desk staff were truly amazing. Check out day was a little annoying with cleaning crew knocking on my door several times early asking about checking out, but was immediately corrected. I stayed at a different hotel last year that was also pricey, BUT did not make me feel safe and was not as clean as I had anticipated. I always carry safety, but felt at ease with this stay. I’m going back in a few months. I’ll take pictures then.

I stayed here during the DLC for Lorcana. It's a nice hotel with views of the James River and if you're roomed and facing it, it's an excellent view. I found the room to be comfortable and the bed comfy. I discovered that we not only get a mini-fridge, but also a microwave which is extremely rare these days in the room so that was nice. WiFi is decent and I was able to upgrade to the faster WiFi for a small cost. The front desk staff were very helpful including the guy I checked in with on Friday morning. He was also very helpful when I asked the best way to get to the Richmond Convention Center. So, thank you sir! I do need to make people aware that book here and have an event going on at the Richmond Convention Center. It is a hike. It's about half a mile from the hotel to the Convention Center and it's up very steep hills. Be prepared for that. Also, not much else around it which is unfortunate since most of the restaurants are in the office buildings which are apparently closed on the weekends. Thankfully I had my car with me so I was able to go to the outskirts to find places to eat. Would I stay here again? Maybe. Depends on why I'm in Richmond.

We stayed here during the Inauguration weekend, which you’d expect to be hectic, but the team at Delta made everything feel easy and seamless. The staff was genuinely friendly, engaging, and incredibly responsive the entire stay — every question or request was handled quickly and kindly. You could tell they actually cared, not just “hotel polite,” but real, thoughtful service. A special shout-out to Micah from the sales team, who went above and beyond. After Iaccidentally had a Rent the Runway package delivered to the hotel, he proactively emailed me right away and offered to coordinate returning it to UPS for us. It saved me a huge headache and honestly wasn’t something he had to do — just next-level customer care. It’s those small, proactive moments that make a place stand out. Would absolutely stay here again when we’re in Richmond. Highly recommend.

We enjoyed the pool and hot tub. They have an attached parking garage, but street parking is free on the weekend so that is what we used. Our room was fairly dark and quiet. I imagine that it may be less quiet on a lower floor. Unfortunately all of the elevators stopped working during a night of our stay so we had to walk up over 10 flights of stairs.

I recently stayed at this hotel with my husband we are in Richmond often and this was our 1st time staying here! The rooms were decent! My favorite part however was the restaurant! Kudos to Henrietta from the restaurant she definitely made our experience great! We absolutely loved her personality and her drive to make sure we were well taken care of along with the other guests. She ran the Starbucks very well! The other Hispanic waitress seemed very overwhelmed with Starbucks the next day. Overall we loved our stay! We will be back! Thank you again Henrietta!
